How to find your computer name in windows 10?

Hello Readers,

As we all know for each computer there is a name associated. In general, Most of the time we won’t remember that name.

When we want it most of them are struggling to get the name. Firstly, We go and search in google and find the answer.

Here, I am going to show you how to get your computer name with several options.

Option 1: Using Windows command prompt

Step 1: Press Windows + R then it opens Run command

Note: Windows means there is a symbol on your keyboard.

Or else type in search bar (cmd) or Start -> Programs you can find Command Prompt.

Step 2: type cmd in RUN Window and it opens a command prompt.

Step 3: type hostname

Sample Output:

Note: You get only your computer name.

Option 2: Using Windows command prompt to get full information

Step 1: To open a command prompt follow the two above steps in option 1.

Step 2: type systeminfo

Sample Output:

Note: Along with computer name you will see a lot of useful information about your system.

Option 3: Using Windows search bar to get computer name

Step 1: Type “computer name” in windows search box and it list an option to click and view for computer name

Sample Output:

Option 4: Using windows search bar through system to get computer name

Type “system” and you see an option called “System Information”. Once you click it opens a popup there you will see system name.
